French Film Festival

Two weeks with twelve great films from some of our favourite French actors! From comedies to romance; people finding themselves or exposing others; music, food, love and old friends re-uniting; travelling together, travelling alone. Always, always, always, the very best in entertainment!

Featuring the Films:

Masquerade (Comedy). Glamour, sex, money and manipulation combine in this deadly vortex on the shores of the dreamy Côte d'Azur. An official selection of Cannes Film Festival 2022.

Maria Into Life (Comedy). The always sensational Karin Viard (13-time César nominee) and Grégory Gadebois (Delicious) star in this enchanting, beautifully crafted romantic comedy about a shy, unappreciated woman who finally allows herself to open up to life and to love.

On The Wandering Paths (Drama). Named “One of the most beautiful and necessary films of the year,” and based on Sylvain Tesson's critically acclaimed autobiographical novel, this is a story of struggle and triumph – a beautiful & complex cinematic retelling of his path to healing and the power that came with surrendering tocomplete vulnerability.

Other People's Children (Comedy). Featuring a career-best from the glowing Virginie Efira is this enchanting and profoundly moving new romantic drama.

Robuste (Drama). The irrepressible Gérard Depardieu stars in this highly enjoyable new film about an unlikely friendship.

Saint Omer (Drama). This is a Must See Movie. Inspired by true events, this profound film has constantly shifting layers; at once a tense courtroom drama, an inquiry into female agency, as well as a provocative examination of myth and family.

The Innocent (Drama). This is a gem! Hilarious & madly romantic, bustling with invention through familial tensions, criminal hijinks & unexpected romance colliding in this uproariously entertaining new comedy hit.

The Nannies (Comedy). Angèle (Eye Haidara) uses her wit and intoxicating spirit to get through life – but when she finds herself on the wrong side of a local gang, she must scramble to find an honest job. True to form, Angèle chooses to wing it, using her charm to enchant a wealthy mother, landing her first-ever role as a nanny – but could it be all too good to be true?

The Tasting (Comedy). Delightful and witty, THE TASTNG is a heartfelt romance best watched with a good glass of wine!

Tenor (Comedy). TÉNOR transports you from the gritty, high-rise “banlieues” of outer Paris to the gilded splendour of the Opéra Garnier when opera meets rap in musical marvel!
