Spend an evening with celebrated actor Sam Neill as he shares stories from his memoir Did I Ever Tell You This?: A Memoir, a wild and witty account of a career in film and TV spanning half a century.
From his early days in amateur Shakespeare productions in New Zealand to leading roles in movies such as My Brilliant Career, Jurassic Park and The Piano, Sam brings insight and humour to his trials and triumphs, on and off screen. He is joined in conversation by fellow actor and author, Bryan Brown.
Sam Neill was born in 1947. He has appeared in almost 100 feature films and dozens of TV series in a career spanning half a century.
Iconic Australian actor Bryan Brown became an international success in the early eighties with critical acclaim from performances in Breaker Morant and the TV series A Town Like Alice. A stream of Australian hits and Hollywood productions followed including The Thorn Birds, Gorillas in the Mist, FX, Newsfront, The Shiralee, Cocktail, Two Hands, Beautiful Kate, Along Came Polly, Australia and in 2019 Palm Beach which he produced and starred in. In a 40-year career Bryan has appeared in over 80 films and worked in some 25 countries. This achievement earned him the prestigious Longford Lyell Award at the 2018 AACTAs recognising his contribution to Australian cinema. Bryan's first book Sweet Jimmy was published in 2021.
