One of the world's leading chamber orchestras performs music from JS Bach and Tchaikovsky through to Jimmy Barnes and William Barton.
Vocals, Guitar & Didgeridoo William Barton
Vocals Jimmy Barnes
here aren't many orchestras like the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Who else could present JS Bach and Jimmy Barnes in the same concert?
Renowned for explosive performances, adventurous collaborations and dynamic programs, the ACO prides itself on both challenging and inspiring their audiences. This concert is no exception.
To celebrate the 50th birthday of another Australian icon, Artistic Director Richard Tognetti leads the Orchestra in a showcase of everything that makes the ACO so unique. Beloved masterpieces including JS Bach's divinely beautiful Concerto for Two Violins and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, sit alongside the timeless sound world of didgeridoo virtuoso William Barton's Didge Fusion and the soaring vocals of Australian rock icon Jimmy Barnes.
It's a fitting celebration from an orchestra that has always forged their own path.
