Opera in the Arboretum
Pearl Beach Arboretum, Pearl Beach
Presented by Central Coast Conservatorium of Music
The stunning Pearl Beach Arboretum will once again host a world class line up of opera stars – and strings students from the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music.
UK baritone Rodney Earl Clark, mezzo soprano Louise Callinan, tenor John Longmuir and soprano Lorina Gore, plus special guest artist Alicia Poon on violin, will perform arias and duets from Cosi fan Tutte and Don Giovanni (Mozart), Carmen (Bizet), Die tote Stadt (Korngold), Samson and Delilah (Saint-Saëns) along with favourites from the musicals of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
The event's Artistic Director is Central Coast Conservatorium of Music vocal teacher, Michaele Archer. The event will also be supported by young players from the Central Coast Chamber Orchestra conducted by CCCM's Patrick Brennan.
Opera in the Arboretum is an open-air, all-weather, BYO picnic style annual charity event hosted by the Rotary Club of Woy Woy. Since the event's inception in 2005 hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised for deserving causes, charitable organisations and Rotary humanitarian projects.
