Sydney Philharmonia Choirs is thrilled to present acclaimed baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes in the title role of Felix Mendelssohn's epic oratorio, Elijah. Joining Rhodes will be an amazing cast of soloists and the 400 voices of SPC's Festival Chorus.

This hugely popular Romantic composition remains one of the world's most beloved choral masterpieces.
The music grips you from its opening notes as it dramatic life into the story of the Old Testament prophet in a series of episodes, escalating to his ascent to heaven in a chariot of fire.

When I think of Elijah only one name comes to mind for the title role Teddy Tahu Rhodes.
This is 19th-century music making on a grand scale and Teddy's authoritative voice will bring not just gravitas to the performance but also its great humanity, says Artistic Director Brett Weymark.
