Brackets and Jam will celebrate 25 years on the Central Coast on August 5 with an amazing lineup of talent including Woodie McClean, Dave Stone, the Dan Granero Band and The Moths. The day kicks off at noon with a not-to-be-missed performance by Woodie McClean, whose rich vocals have featured on former Grizzlee Train frontman Brandon Dodd's solo album and Molly Millington's 2018 single Sinner. Discovering a love for music at a young age, McClean immersed himself in soul, jazz, blues, country rock, Americana and pop, all of which underpin his debut EP Words in Mind. Dave Stone is regarded as one of Australia's most dynamic and progressive Aussie blues and roots artists. As an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist, Stone has toured extensively both in Australia and overseas. His signature guitar work, insightful original songs and unique slide guitar skills have delighted audiences from Sydney to Shanghai.

Dan Granero is a blues/rock lead guitarists/vocalist from the Central Coast who performs with massive doses of energy, supported by two band members, David Hentzschel on bass and James Grubisa on drums, who have performed and recorded together for over nine years. The event takes place on top of Kincumba Mountain, the birthplace and spiritual home of Brackets and Jam on the Central Coast. Since its inception 25 years ago, Brackets and Jam has staged at least 10 events a year, translating to a thousand hours of live music and drum jams.

Our Brackets South event takes place on top of beautiful Kincumba Mountain. The community built venue is a mud brick and natural timber building which sits in a bushland reserve, with panoramic views of Brisbane Water and magnificent sunsets over the hills beyond.

This venue is the birthplace of Brackets and Jam on the Central Coast and the community considers it as its spiritual home. The Mountain itself holds a strong significance for our Aboriginal community and has been a long-standing meeting place for Central Coast people.

The rock outcrop situated in front of the kiosk forms a natural pool which is said to have once been a sacred birthing place for women.

The Mountain now gives birth to many new beginnings as the hub of creative community arts in the southern Central Coast region.

Emerging musicians and artists are given an opportunity to perform and to network, to try new ideas and to expose their talents to a very supportive and appreciative audience in a setting that is far removed from a smoky pub or noisy club. Rather, amidst the bushland atop a beautiful mountain, in tune with a supportive community with natures blessings.
