The renowned Cameron Mackintosh, partnering with Nick Grace Management, has unveiled plans for the globally awaited tour of ‘Les Misérables: The Arena Spectacular'.

Already booked to perform in over 15 countries worldwide including the UK, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and beyond, the World Tour will begin as the stage musical enters its 39th revolutionary year and will run throughout the upcoming 40th-anniversary celebrations for the world's longest running musical in 2025.
After which it is planned to play North and South America.

Les Misérables is a historical novel written by Victor Hugo, which was later adapted into one of the world's most renowned musicals.
Set in early 19th-century France, it presents a profound exploration of French society's political and moral core, focusing on the struggles of the disadvantaged and the battle between good and evil.

The primary character is Jean Valjean, a French peasant of unusual strength and potentially violent nature, who spends nineteen years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his starving sister's family.
After being released, Valjean breaks his parole and, spurred by a transformative encounter with a kind bishop, assumes a new identity to live an honest life. However, he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who is adamant about upholding the law.

As Valjean evades Javert's pursuit, he becomes a successful factory owner and the town's mayor, adopts Cosette, the mistreated daughter of a dying woman named Fantine, and navigates a world steeped in revolution and societal change.
Throughout the narrative, Hugo delves into themes of moral redemption, the destructive nature of guilt, the power of love, and the social injustice prevalent in society.

The musical adaptation stays faithful to the novel's essence, using powerful music and lyrics to bring the story and its enduring themes to life.
It features iconic songs like “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Do You Hear the People Sing?” and “Bring Him Home.”

The fresh production is set to dazzle over 15 countries, with stops planned in the UK, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and beyond.
It will run into the musical's landmark 40th anniversary celebrations in 2025.

Tailored specifically for arenas and large theatres, this innovative show design is expected to accommodate audiences ranging from 3,000 to 5,000.
An impressive UK company of over 110 actors, musicians, and crew will participate, with guest stars making appearances at different locations.
