Literacy Matters Tour - "Sense & Sensibility"
Donation protected
This is your opportunity to support the Creative Arts & Literacy Programs in rural Australia...
8 actors take to the stage wearing theatre blacks and using a single prop... a door... to present Jane Austen's classic tale 'Sense & Sensibility'. This is a unique, fast-paced, and comically energetic interpretation of Austen's much-loved novel.
"Alternative, innovative & hilarious" - Pride & Possibilities
"I'm sure Jane Austen would have laughed as much as I did!" - Vivid
"Ultimate & rare authenticity" - Heart of an Artist
8 actors from the Central Coast NSW will tour this show with all ticket sales from Melbourne Fringe Festival going to the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation. The ticket sale funds will go toward literacy programs & libraries in rural Australian communities. The funds raised from this campaign will enable the actors to travel and present the show.
Our actors are volunteering their time, many of our venues are donating their spaces and Fringe Festivals are waiving registration fees... but we still need your help! With your assistance, Salt House Creative will be able to spread the word about the life-transforming work of the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation & raise funds to build libraries in rural Australian towns.
Every donation counts... your gift helps... together we can make a difference.
