An accomplished singer, songwriter, musician and actor, Minchin has conquered the worlds of comedy, music, theatre and television, from his hit musical comedy shows So Live and Tim Minchin Vs The Heritage Orchestra, Live at the Royal Albert Hall, to his Royal Shakespeare Company-produced musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's Matilda, a critical and commercial success that went on to win five Tony Awards. He is the head writer and co star of Foxtel's multi-award winning Upright, and has worked as an actor in stage, film and television. He continues to write and record music, with his solo debut as a recording artist – 2020's ARIA charting, pandemic-influenced Apart Together – drawing critical acclaim.
