This weekend marked the final performances for two long-serving players in the Opera Australia Orchestra!

Allan Watson (Associate Principal Timpani and Tutti Percussion) joined the orchestra in 1985, while Virginia Blunt (Tutti Violin) joined in 1987.
Over the course of their tenures (a combined 75 years!) they've performed in more than 150 productions of operas and ballets. Their final performances this weekend were with the Australian Ballet's double bill of tudes and Circle Electric.

We've all been so fortunate to have to worked alongside Virginia and Allan for the last few decades.
