Auditions for Stage School Australia's January 2026 production of Matilda The Musical JR in Melbourne are now open!
Matilda The Musical JR is the spirited, witty and heart-warming story of an extraordinary little girl with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind who dares to take a stand. With music and lyrics by Australia's own Tim Minchin and a Tony Award-winning book by Dennis Kelly, this junior adaptation offers a fantastic range of roles for singers, dancers and actors to shine - from cheeky school kids and outrageous grown-ups to the powerful ensembles that drive the action.
This is Stage School Australia's next venture following the success of their July production of Mary Poppins JR which was met with rave reviews.
Self-tape auditions are open to young performers aged 10 to 18 years. Submissions must close on Sunday 28th of September, 2025. Tickets will go on sale in November of this year!
