Darryl Davis
Gosford Musical Society
Darryl Davis has been a member of Gosford Musical Society since the early 1980s and has undertaken most roles within the organisation. Darryl has worked as director, production manager, catering assistant, backstage, ensemble cast member, minor lead and principal.
Darryl has been on the Committee (now known as GMS Board of Management) since 1998 in the capacity of floor member. In addition, he has been Vice President for the majority of that time and had one year as President (2013).
Darryl also acts as GMS historian and is currently working on digitising the company's history, since 1947. During the pandemic in 2020 Darryl prepared and published on the GMS FaceBook page for 54 days and each day consisted of a historical account of one of our productions. These posts were seen by GMS members living overseas and provided a significant opportunity for all members, past present and future to remain connected during that difficult time. Darryl has again in 2021 undertaken that role in an effort to keep us all connected.
